It's true. by Theaquadragon It's true. by Theaquadragon
PETA is evil. Trust me. In 2OO6, 34 animals were adopted, and the other 1100 (I thinks so) Were killed. Please, if you support them, check out Petakillsanimals.com. It's true, they try to shame fat women into being vegan, they handed out a book to elementary kids, and it's called, "Your daddy kills animals." They want Pokémon banned because it is evil. :iconfacepalmplz:

Unfortunately, Petakillsanimals .com was created as a smear campaign by the CCF. The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) is an American non-profit firm that lobbies on behalf of the fast food, meat, alcohol and tobacco industries. CCF has campaigned against a number of organizations, such as the Centers for Disease Control, the Center for Science in the Public Interest, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and maintains several websites devoted to criticizing them. Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has responded "If you are in the business of putting veal or beef on the tables of America, and slaughtering more than a million animals per hour, and making an awful lot of money at it, you are going to try to neutralize PETA or other animal-rights groups." The CCF has argued against smoking bans and for keeping the legal blood-alcohol level for drivers at 0.10. It questions the dangers of red meat consumption and pesticides. It posted the trailer for the children's movie Charlotte's Web, claiming that the movie "encourages kids to 'say no to bacon' and print out stickers reading 'Tofu Rulez'" and links to groups it states are "extremist," such as the Humane Society of the United States. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_f…

Would you really trust an organization that also claims we don't have an obesity problem, dieting will not help you loose weight, people should be allowed to smoke in restaurants, and its just fine to drink and drive? They provide no reputable sources for their claims, instead petakillsanimals .com uses its non-profit status to lobby for the inhumane killing of animals as well as many things that are harmful to humans.

Now, to be clear PETA does euthanize animals. However this does not mean that they kill them needlessly. They operate animal shelters for the animals that they rescue, animals that almost always come to them in the worst conditions imaginable., almost always they are incredibly sick or abused, because they come from places that PETA has found to be cruel enough that the law shuts them down. Anybody who has worked at a shelter or vets office knows that often times it is much more humane treatment to put a suffering animal to sleep than to let it suffer. For this PETA is not hypocritical, but rather they are using ethics to determine that sometimes an animal is better off put to sleep than stuck living in pain. Even if you are against this, you should not judge PETA entirely off of their one animal shelter, but rather off of how much other good they are doing.
